- 1000 precast elements that ranged from wall panels, beams and columns, hollowcore slabs, balcony slabs, stairs and landings.
- The indvidual precast wall panels were as large as 35'-0 long x 10'-6" tall with the typical thickness varying from 6" cladding walls, 10" structural walls up to 17" insulated walls and weighng up to 30,000-40,000 lbs.
- All exterior precast panels incorprated form liners that were casted in the steel forms providing this building with the brick, wood, and fluted appearance it has today.
- The balconies were also a unique condition for this project as they were all cantilevered from the interior solid precast slabs providing that floating unsupported apperance from the exterior.
- All windows were supplied and installed into the precast walls within their production plant prior to shipping to site for installation.
- The doors were installed on site as the precast walls were being erected, allowing the building to be much further enclosed and free from the exterior enviroment.
The Condominium is a five-storey, 74,639 square feet, Total Precast concrete structure including a mix of one and two- bedroom units providing a diverse and essential mult-unit residential building for many tenants. Located along the main throughfare of this growing town, The Jackson became an instant landmark in the emerging center not only through its construction scope, but through its modern architectural design.
