This student residence features the exterior precast walls placed on angles to create a zig-zag look. On the interior, large precast solid slabs on the second floor walkway were cut on angles to add dimension and as a design feature.
The first floor is used as classrooms and study halls which required wide open spaces and to clear span the hollowcore slabs. Large beams exceeding 80,000 lbs were used to carry these loads and enable clear sight lines.
